The dataset was collected using a set of UWB DWM3001CDK development boards by Qorvo, based on the DW3110 chip. The DW3110 is the direct evolution of the DW1000 chip, that is by far the most popular option in the collection of UWB data and the design of UWB real time location systems. The dataset was collected at the premises of the Big Data Innovation and Competence Center Pilot Line (Bi-Rex) excellence center in Bologna, Italy, in the so-called pilot line area, that includes several industrial-grade machines and equipment and is thus a fitting example of an indoor challenging environment. . The setup included 5 DWM3001CDK boards configured as responders and placed in 5 positions along the perimeter of the area, and 1 board configured as initiator. Data were collected with a logger connected to the initiator; the initiator was placed at 5 different measurement Locations with devices operating on Channel 9, and in one of the five Locations also with devices operating on Channel 5. The final dataset includes over 10000 UWB channel impulse responses.
